Nikia Hammonds-Blakely
Nikia is a wife, mother, minister and singer with a ministry of healing, through word and song. As a 2 time, 25yr breast cancer survivor, Nikia passionately promotes the benefits of self-care and advocating for others. She is a licensed and certified life coach and author of the book “The Fight” Chronicles of a CHAMPION. She has co-authored the book “Crosses & Crowns: A Counseling Guide for Living as CHAMPIONS in Marriage, with her husband of 15 years, Daren Blakely. Together, they also serve as coaches for the Life & Marriage Enrichment Bootcamp, as seen on WETV & Lifetime.

How long does it take to publish?This varies by the client’s needs, but on average, it can take from 3-6 months. An individualized timeline will be proposed, after consultation.

How are Royalties paid and received?On printed/paperback books that you sell from your website or personally, you will receive 90% in royalties. The publishing company will receive a 10% commission. On books that are sold & promoted electronically via Amazon/Kindle, you will receive 50% in royalties. Amazon will receive 40%. The publishing company will receive 10%. All royalties owed to Amazon & iCHAMPION Publishing will be paid at the time of your order. Authors will receive royalty sales reports and payouts on the first of every month, beginning 90 days from the start of your sales via Zelle or electronic transfer.

Can I use my own photographer, graphic designer, editor or other professionals?"Yes, but they will be compensated by you, directly and are subject to final approval by iCHAMPION Publishing.

Are there referral credits?We sincerely appreciate client referrals! For every client that you refer who signs with iCHAMPION Publishing, you will receive up to $150 in iCHAMPION Publishing services (to be used for future services including but not limited to graphic design, website design, marketing services, editing, and publishing.)

What are your termination/cancellation policies?ICHAMPION Publishing and/or the author may mutually terminate agreement upon any of the following circumstances: -The parties have completed their (2) year publishing agreement and have submitted a request in writing for release of contract. -The parties have amicably and mutually agreed to dissolve the partnership during the project. *In such cases there will be a documented letter of release) -Abandonment: (The author or publisher fails to communicate or respond to communication for a continual period that exceeds 30 days). -Breach of Contract: (The author or publisher fails to turn in deliverables, as agreed for a continual period that exceeds 30+ days). Note: Funds received are neither transferrable or refundable, unless otherwise agreed between both parties.

Can I use my own printer?Yes, you can recommend use of a local printer, but in almost all cases, iCHAMPION Publishing will be able to get you a deeper discount, using our electronic printers and bulk publishing discounts.

Business Opening Hours and ProceduresBUSINESS HOURS: Tuesday-Friday 9 am (CST)- 8 pm (CST) Saturday (by appointment only) Sunday- Monday (Closed) MEETINGS: iCHAMPION Publishing will establish a weekly standing meeting w/ all authors (re-scheduled appointments will need to occur within available office hours) A Meeting Agenda will accompany every Zoom meeting invite, (See note details inside of the invite) Please allow 1hr for full meetings, otherwise 15min for a touch-base. At the conclusion of each week’s meeting, we will decide whether our next meeting will be a full meeting or a touch-base. EMAIL/TEXT CORRESPONDENCE: You are welcome to text or email me 24hrs a day! However, please allow up to 24hrs response time, during operating business hours. Emails that come in after Friday’s closing hours may not be returned until the following business day. Texts are also welcome and typically receive an even faster response.
